Kinesis Currency
Kinesis KAU and KAG are the flagship currencies of Kinesis Money and form the core of the Kinesis Monetary System. Each KAU represents ownership of one gram of .9999 fine gold, while each KAG represents ownership of one troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
The idea behind KAU and KAG is to use them as everyday money, combining the purchasing-power stability of physical metal with the convenience of digital payments. They can be spent via Kinesis Pay or the Kinesis card, transferred peer-to-peer, traded on the Kinesis Exchange.
The articles in this section also describe what distinguishes KAU and KAG from similar gold- and silver-backed tokens.
Also presented are the Kinesis Velocity Token (KVT) and Kinesis’s own USD-pegged stablecoin, C1USD.
The section compares C1USD with the two leading USD stablecoins, USDT and USDC, focusing on yield, multi-chain availability from launch, and native integration with the metals-backed currencies.
An important feature of the KMS is the option for users to redeem their digital currencies against the physical bullion they represent, removing the corresponding units from circulation and delivering the metal to the holder.
