Kinesis Money
The Kinesis Monetary System (KMS) is a blockchain-based financial setup that brings together the relative stability of physical gold and silver with the speed of digital payments. Kinesis Money developed it so that people can buy, hold, transfer, trade and spend digital currencies backed by actual allocated precious metals kept in secure, insured vaults.
The main currencies are KAU (digital gold), which stands for one gram of gold, and KAG (digital silver), which stands for one ounce of silver. While fiat currencies are not tied to any physical asset, every unit of KAU and KAG represents a corresponding amount of allocated bullion.
Alongside the currencies themselves, the system includes the Kinesis Exchange, the Kinesis Card, Kinesis Pay, and a Yield System that shares a portion of the transaction fees with eligible participants through the Master Fee Pool.
The KMS mixes blockchain technology, allocated metal and digital payment infrastructure in order to enable physical gold and silver to be used (again) not only for holding value but also for day-to-day payments.
