Kinesis Money

Kinesis Money is the company behind the Kinesis Monetary System. The name is also commonly used to refer to the two main Kinesis currencies and, more broadly, to the wider Kinesis ecosystem. In other words, “Kinesis” can refer to the company, the currencies, or pretty much the whole family — context tells you which meaning applies.

The Kinesis Monetary System is a platform through which gold- and silver-backed digital currencies are issued and managed. It combines blockchain technology, allocated physical precious metals, and digital payment infrastructure to enable gold and silver to function not only as stores of value but also as mediums of exchange.

The main currencies are KAU (digital gold), which stands for one gram of gold, and KAG (digital silver), which stands for one ounce of silver. While fiat currencies are not tied to any physical asset, every unit of KAU and KAG represents a corresponding amount of allocated bullion.

Alongside the currencies themselves, the system includes the Kinesis Exchange, the Kinesis Card, Kinesis Pay, and a Yield System that shares a portion of the transaction fees with eligible participants through the Master Fee Pool.

Kinesis Money developed the Kinesis Monetary System to allow users to buy, hold, transfer, trade, and spend KAU and KAG using digital infrastructure comparable to that of conventional electronic payments. Its stated goal is to create a monetary system that combines the long-term purchasing-power characteristics of gold and silver with the speed and accessibility of modern digital technology.
